The Croatia international has enjoyed a stellar season at left-wing back and scored twice in the 4-2 Coppa Italia final.
However, following that victory, he criticised Inter for not renewing his contract and waiting for it almost expire and has been heavily linked with a free transfer to Juve, while Tottenham have also registered an interest.
Asked at a press conference ahead of their final-day clash with Samporia whether hopes Perisic will stay, Inzaghi told reporters: “Of course it’s what I want.
“I have a meeting with the club next week to talk about next season. I have a really open and frank relationship with the club.”
Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 and quickly established himself as one of the trickiest wingers in Serie A.
Deemed surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte in 2019, he was loaned out to Bayern Munich where he helped the German side win the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League.
Upon his return he excelled on a new left wing back role, which he is still fulfilling under Inzaghi.
