Ronaldo was one of four players to miss the Red Devils’ FA Cup win over Steven Gerrard’s side earlier in the week with Jadon Sancho, Phil Jones and Harry Maguire also absent.
But the quartet are expected to be involved in some capacity against Villa on Saturday, having trained yesterday. Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay are suspended.
Rangick said: “I think they will be available, they only trained yesterday for the first time,” he said.
“Cristiano yesterday, Harry the day before yesterday, so as it seems now we have to wait for the final training session this afternoon but, as it seems right now, they should be available.”
Villa lost to United in the FA Cup on Monday night despite an impressive performance from Gerrard’s side, and history favours them in a trip to B6.
United have not lost at Villa Park in the Premier League since the debut of their infamous grey kit in 1995.
While Villa hit the crossbar and had two goals disallowed on Monday, Rangnick believes United could reap the benefits of playing them again inside a week.
“Well, at least we know from experience now what the challenge will be and how they are playing,” he said. “We also know we are able in a tough and tight game to beat them.
“Now it’s about showing the best possible performance and the best possible players performing on the pitch in order to win the game at Villa Park.”
