Conor McGregor was quick to join in with those poking fun at the seemingly failed European Super League on Tuesday.
With Manchester City confirming they were pulling out of the competition and Chelsea expressing doubts, the Irishman suggested that he could come in at Manchester United, where Ed Woodward is set to leave his position as executive vice chairman.
“Hey guys,” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?”
While the comment was made in jest, it has had some speculating that he could some day become a shareholder at Old Trafford.
