Chelsea fans’ protests on Tuesday appear to have worked a treat, with the Blues reportedly set to pull out of the European Super League.
But former goalkeeper and current club technical advisor Petr Cech found himself in an uncomfortable situation at the centre of the fans’ anger.
Supporters had gathered at Stamford Bridge ahead of Chelsea‘s game against Brighton to voice their discontent, and even forced a delay to kick off as they prevented the team bus from getting into the stadium.
“I know, give us time to sort this out,” Cech was heard saying to thousands of furious supporters who could be heard shouting “traitor” back at him. Once they had made it inside the ground, they were met by Brighton players wearing those same shirts that Leeds had won the night before.
