  1. The Premier League and our rivals have generally had a difficult time appreciating Chelsea players.

We won the league scoring 103 goals in 2009-10, while ManU finished a point behind us with a GD inferior by 13 goals. Only Drogba and Ivanovic made Team of the Year, while ManU had 4 players. Just to give a few examples of the ridiculous selections:

    1. Richard Dunne and Vermaelen over Terry.
    2. Fletcher and Fabregas over Lampard, who scored 22 goals and made 14 assists.
    4. Rooney won POTY with 26 goals and 3 assists, in lieu of Drogba with 29 goals and 10 assists.

  2. The more and more I learn about chelsea the more I realize how big of a bias there is against chelsea. The only teams they want to talk about are liverpool, man city, and United. And arguably you can tell by the way they speak about chelsea while commentating games. It really pisses me off sometimes bc 99% of the time they’re just repeating what the media has been saying recently.

  3. Terry a lot better? He’s included in the FIFPRO-11 five times if I am not wrong. You know who can match up to numbers like these? Defenders like Maldini and Canavaro.

How do you even compare probably the best ever Premier League defender to players like Ferdinand, Vidic, VVD(seriously?). I need tips on how you guys cope up with the blatant anti Chelsea bias because it gets really frustrating to stand at times

  4. This might be unpopular opinion but,
What considering his quality on the pitch and his leadership
    He’s better than Maldini
There was this thing I read from Peter crouch that
People talk about how good Maldini is
But he personally felt PL defenders were much tougher and would absolutely bulky some strikers
And to say that how brave Terry was
Idk seems unreal how brave he was.

  5. People who didn’t watch him week-in, week-out had him pegged as an old-fashioned bruising centre-half with two left feet. In fact he was a fantastic passer with BOTH feet (it helped he grew up training with Frank Le Beef). Plus, people never mention his goal threat: 67 goals for Chelsea, none from a penalty or free-kick. Not many defenders can beat that.

  6. Completely disagree with this. He’s obviously a PL legend. Him and Ferdinand are the two best English centre backs I’ve ever seen. Terry would have a case to be in PL’s best all time XI and most people would agree. There’s no way he’s underrated.
