  3. Kante is our highest earner by a decent amount, he’s never been one to particularly care about money. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear stories about him offering to give up more than required. He still drives a Mini cooper to work after all.

  4. I feel like Rooney was spot on in his column. You don’t see other multi-millionaires being out under such pressure to take a pay cut, and especially young players on low wages need the money. A player on 200k a week is down to 140k which is still a lot but a player on 2,000 down to 1,600 is taking a hit which could mean they’re unable to keep up with bills, especially if they’re supporting their family.

  5. I could understand it if they are using a percentage of their wage already to donate which I’m sure most of them are.
