Real Madrid: What Leonardo’s anger with Zidane covers up: Mbappe isn’t for sale, he’s priceless
Real Madrid PSG won’t consider selling him
However, PSG‘s sporting director, Leonardo, hit back the following day.
“It’s annoying, he should stop, it’s not the time to talk about dreams and all that, it’s not the time to destabilise everything,” Leonardo responded angrily.
The anger of Leonardo hides a general irritation from the club’s Qatari management who are adamant that Mbappe will not be sold.
The message has been approved by Nasser al Khelaifi, who will be responsible for sitting down to discuss a contract extension with Mbappe in the future.
In Qatar, it has been noted how Mbappe has replaced Neymar at the heart of the transfer rumour mill, but the difference is clear.
They put a price of 300 million euros for the sale of Neymar, but for Mbappe they continue to say that there will be no negotiations of any kind.
It is not the first time that Qatar have insisted, as has been the case in Adrien Rabiot, Marquinhos, Marco Verratti and Angel Di Maria, and it’s clear that they are in charge.
Mbappe has this year and two further season on his existing contract and PSG have no rush to sign him onto a new deal although they do feel pressure from Real Madrid‘s interest.
L’Equipe claim that there have been initial contacts over a new deal, something that PSG have not denied to MARCA although they make it clear that there has been no offer put forward.
Mbappe is the symbol of that project alongside Al Khelaifi.
