Rangers boss Steven Gerrard to do ‘everything’ he can to watch Liverpool vs Man City | Football | Sport

Liverpool take on Manchester City in a crunch Premier League encounter on Sunday, and Steven Gerrard is keen to watch the second-half on the coach back to Glasgow.

Rangers travel to Livingston in the Premiership as they look to go above rivals Celtic in the league table, and Gerrard has a plan for the return trip.

The Light Blues kick-off at 3pm, with Jurgen Klopp taking on Pep Guardiola at 4:30pm.

Despite the timing allowing the Reds hero to catch the second period while on the way home, there could be an issue on the coach.

“We’ve been on the back of our coach driver because there’s something wrong with the Sky feed,” said Gerrard.

“And he best have it right for Sunday because I want to catch the second half.

“We’ll do everything we can to get it on that’s for sure. What a game that’ll be.”

The ex-England skipper has also given his thoughts on the current status of the Premier League title race, and warned his former side.

“That’s a nice lead in terms of where Liverpool are,” added Gerrard.

“But you can never write Manchester City off with a world class manager like Pep Guardiola and the quality they’ve got in the squad.

“It’d be very foolish to write them off because on their day they’re capable of beating anyone.

“But at the moment you’d rather be in Liverpool’s position that’s for sure.”

Liverpool boss Klopp has sent a message to the home supporters ahead of their biggest game of the season so far.

“We have to play our best game on Sunday,” he said.

“Absolutely in the stadium has to be in absolutely top shape, the guy who sells the hot dogs has to be in the top shape.

“Get early to the stadium, wait for the warm-up, be there.”
