Latest FIFA 20 update sees Manchester United youngsters upgraded but senior players downgraded
With the Premier League season now nine games in, another FIFA 20 database update has been released, which sees a number of Manchester United player’s attributes changed depending on their real life performances.
United’s FIFA 20 ratings were quite disappointing when they were initially released, after their underwhelming 2018/19 season in which they finished sixth in the Premier League table.
Since the start of the 2019/20 season, EA SPORTS have launched a few database updates, with Daniel James and Scott McTominay among the players to have their attributes and traits updated so far this season.
Now, the latest FIFA 20 database update is out, and some United youngsters have been upgraded, but there are a few downgrades for the senior players.
Here are the latest changes to the Manchester United squad on FIFA 20, as of October 16.
Manchester United – FIFA 20 database update
Brandon Williams – Upgrade
Williams has been given a major upgrade in the latest FIFA 20 database update.
The full-back’s acceleration (78-74), ball control (60-61), crossing (57-59), dribbling (59-62), marking (56-58), reactions (58-60), stamina (63-65) and standing tackle (56-58) have all been given a boost.
His overall rating has also been upgraded from 61 to 63, whilst his potential has gone up from 80 to 81.
James Garner – Upgrade
Garner has been given a slight upgrade on FIFA 20, with just two attributes given a boost.
The midfielder’s finishing has been upgraded from 51 to 55, whilst his long shots have also gone up from 57 to 62.
Axel Tuanzebe – Upgrade
Tuanzebe is another United player to get a major upgrade in the latest FIFA 20 update.
The 21-year-old’s sprint speed (79-80), composure (74-76), interceptions (68-69), vision (55-62), ball control (69-71), defensive awareness (73-74), heading accuracy (69-71), short passing (72-74) and standing tackle (72-74) have all been given a boost in the latest update.
These changes also mean that Tuanzebe’s overall rating has been upgraded from 73 to 74, whilst his potential has gone up from 84 to 85.
Fred – Downgrade
Fred‘s United career has yet to get going as of yet and the Brazilian has been given a major downgrade in the latest FIFA 20 database update.
The midfielder’s interceptions (78-76), long passing (79-77), short passing (79-78), standing tackle (80-77) and vision (76-75) have all been downgraded.
This also means Fred‘s overall rating has been downgraded from 79 to 78, whilst his potential has gone down from 81 to 80.
Luke Shaw – Downgrade
Shaw hasn’t made an appearance for the club since United’s 1-2 defeat against Crystal Palace in August, with the England international sustaining a hamstring injury.
But, that hasn’t stopped him being downgraded on FIFA 20.
The left-back’s crossing (79-77), dribbling (82-81) and stamina (81-79) have all been downgraded.
Jesse Lingard – Update
This update isn’t an upgrade, but it’s not really a downgrade either.
Lingard has had the Outside Foot Shot trait removed from his profile on FIFA 20, which means he is less likely to attempt that kind of shot.
