The Reds forward was ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League draw with the ankle injury he suffered before the international break but could return against the Belgian outfit.
Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game, Klopp said on Salah: “It looks promising. Yesterday we weren’t sure, today it looks good but we won’t take any risks. We will see how does overnight”.
But Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip will not play any part in the game, having not travelled with the squad through illness an injury.
On the England right-back, Klopp added: “I hope he’ll be okay later this week. He’s ill, I was told. We had contact this morning, that’s how it is. These things happen at this time of year to all people, football players as well. He won’t be the last player to be ill.”
As for Matip, the Reds chief admitted: “We thought it would be a two-week thing before Man United. It’s not a serious thing but it’s serious enough for him not to play tomorrow.”
He added: “We just have to be here with the right mindset. We are not tired at all. But we have to change two positions already, let’s see what else we do on top of that. I think we’ve found the team against Genk.”
