Sheffield United vs Arsenal: Stats geeks predict eight goals in Premier League showdown | Football | Sport

There will be eight goals in Sheffield United vs Arsenal on Monday night, according to stats experts.

The Gunners travel to Sheffield on Monday for their Premier League showdown.

Unai Emery’s men know a win will send Arsenal up to third, just two points behind champions Manchester City.

Sheffield United, meanwhile, are hoping to move into the top ten.

And according to BT Sport’s The Script, which has predicted every Premier League game of the season, Monday night’s clash will be a thriller.

They reckon the game will finish 4-4 at Bramall Lane.

BT Sport have predicted Premier League results this season using experts from Google, Opta and Squawka.

The supercomputer has generated results based on ‘machine learning artificial intelligence’.

Emery will make a decision on whether to bring Mesut Ozil back into his Arsenal squad against Sheffield United.

Ozil has struggled to get regular game time under the Spaniard this season.

However, Emery insists he’s very happy with Ozil and his players, claiming they’re hopeful of having a successful campaign.

“I am speaking every day with Raul [Sanllehi], Edu and with the players,” Emery said.

“Our work is more important than our words and really now I am very happy at the club.

“I am really happy with the players. The last two, three, four weeks, every player – and Mesut Ozil – is working very well.

“This is why we can be positive and we can think we are going to do something important this year.

“I was speaking with Raul and this is the same idea when he is speaking with me.”

Emery may be pleased with Arsenal’s highest earner Ozil, however, Gunners hero Martin Keown has slammed the German.

Keown has urged Ozil to step up and prove his worth at the Emirates.
