Mauricio Pochettino interrupts Harry Kane after laughing at Tottenham training question

Mauricio Pochettino could only laugh after Harry Kane was asked about training methods at Tottenham .

The Argentine manager has come under pressure in recent weeks after a string of poor results.

Spurs have won once in seven games in a run that includes embarrassing defeats to Colchester, Brighton and Bayern Munich.

Their most recent match saw them scrape a 1-1 draw with winless Watford at home after a controversial equaliser from Dele Alli in the final throes.

Harry Kane has had a tough season so far at Tottenham

It has led to intense speculation that all is not well behind the scenes in north London.

One criticism levelled at the former Southampton manager was a rigid training regime that included Pochettino watching from another room on CCTV cameras.

Kane was asked during a press conference if he felt that the squad were being worked too hard in training.

It prompted Pochettino to scoff, forcing the England captain to check on his manager before chortling back.

In response to the question, Kane said: ”There is going to be speculation when things aren’t going well, from the outside.

“We work hard every day, we have worked hard since the manager has been here.”

Tottenham’s poor form has seen reports that Poch could be on his way out but Kane insists he is up for the challenge.

“It’s probably the toughest time since I’ve been here,” he added. “It’s just another challenge though. The road to success will always have bumps and this is just one of them.

“It’s hard to put a finger on exactly what’s wrong. Sometimes when you’re having a run of form like this, things don’t always go your way in games.

“It’s about sticking together and if we win tomorrow night that can kick start us.”

Tottenham face Red Star Belgrade at home tomorrow night in the Champions League.
