Galatasaray vs Real Madrid: Will Zidane opt for James in Istanbul?
Galatasaray vs Real Madrid Must-win game for Real Madrid
When discussing the Champions League it is difficult not to think about Real Madrid, but Zinedine Zidane‘s side need a win against Galatasaray on Tuesday night if they are serious about progressing to the knockout stages of the competition.
Zidane has lifted the trophy three times between 2016 and 2018, yet his return to Los Blancos has not gone to plan thus far and in their opening two Champions League group stage matches, Real Madrid have suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat away to an undermanned Paris Saint-Germain before having to come back from 2-0 down at home to Club Brugge to draw 2-2.
It is not known whether Zidane will persist with much of the starting line-up that lost away to Real Mallorca on Saturday night, with the return of Toni Kroos meaning that either Isco or James Rodriguez are expected to make way.
Further up field, Eden Hazard is back after missing the Mallorca defeat to attend the birth of his fourth child.
Despite being second in LaLiga Santander, Real Madrid once again showed their ability to collapse in the Balearic Islands, with the performance being far from what Zidane and the club’s supporters demand of them.
Everybody knows that James has the ability to change a match and he could be Los Blancos‘ vital weapon when they face Galatasaray on Tuesday night.
