Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is an admirer of Kessie, though, and remains keen to strengthen in the engine room.
And, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Wolves have put forward an offer to the midfielder. Kessie is believed to be rated at in excess of £25million by Milan which would make him Wolves’ second most costly transfer ever if they pulled it off.
Wolves paid Milan £16million – a fee which will eventually rise to £20million – for Italian forward Patrick Cutrone in July.
