Liverpool: Fans all say the same thing as Georginio Wijnaldum scores for Holland again | Football | Sport
Liverpool fans have noted the difference in Georginio Wijnaldum’s performances for Holland after he netted twice against Belarus.
Wijnaldum rarely finds the net for the Reds, though it’s a different scenario when he pulls on the famous orange jersey.
The midfielder has netted just once in the Premier League this season though now has four goals for his country this season.
And fans were quick to point out the difference in the 28-year-old’s performances for country compared to club.
One posted on social media: “Wijnaldum scores every international break but decides to do literally nothing when he’s in a Liverpool kit. I see how it is.”
Another added: “Wijnaldum is a completely different player for his country. Plays a different role blah blah blah. Gets in plenty of goal scoring opportunities for LFC and hesitates to strike or screws it wide. Odd”
While a third wrote: “Full freedom Wijnaldum unlocked from the shackles of Jurgen Klopp”
Another commented: “Why does the former Everton manager give us a better version of Wijnaldum than the Liverpool manager?”
While one Reds fan posted: “We need that same energy when you play for Liverpool Wijnaldum”
A fellow supporter wrote: “Wijnaldum is so different at the Netherlands than he is at Liverpool”
