3 Strikers Chelsea Can Sign As Giroud’s Replacement Including This West Ham United Star

According to the latest reports from the Express, Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud is looking for potential destinations after his contract expires with the Blues next summer. The Frenchman has remained behind the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season as Frank Lampard has preferred Tammy Abraham over him. The young Englishman has done well so far, so we expect Giroud to be ignored for the first team.

As things stand, we don’t see the Pensioners offering Giroud a new contract. There were speculations this summer as well that the World Cup winner will depart from the club, but the London based outfit were able to keep hold of him. We are expecting Chelsea to sign a new striker next summer to replace Giroud and add more firepower to their roster. Here are three options which they can consider going after at the end of this season.

Sebastien Haller

West Ham’s big summer signing has looked the part so far, and we feel that he is good enough to lead the line for one of the top clubs in the Premier League. Haller has everything to his game which a striker needs as he can hold up play well and can finish brilliantly. He is also an intelligent operator as he can make smart runs in between the defensive line and his link-up play has also caught the eye so far.

We think that the Frenchman can be the one to watch out for in the Premier League. The Hammers signed him this summer only, but Chelsea should have the financial muscle to lure him.

Krzysztof Piatek

The AC Milan star has been one of the few bright spots in Milan’s poor runoff late. The Polish international is a natural when it comes to finishing off moves as he has killer instincts in front of goal. His movement is intelligent and sharp and playing behind some talented playmakers will make him come alive. The striker bagged 30 goals in all competitions last season, and Chelsea should be all over him if they want to bolster their attacking options.

Moussa Dembele

The former Celtic forward has continued with his excellent run at Lyon. Dembele has decent pace and dribbling skills, and he is a clinical finisher in front of goal as well. However, he can do a lot more than scoring goals as he can stretch play by shifting into the wide regions and he has that physical side to his game which is often necessary to thrive in the Premier League.
