Patrice Evra sends message to Manchester United fans
Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has told supporters that the club needs ‘positive energy’ as it continues to struggle for form.
Despite a brilliant start to the Premier League season in which United smashed Chelsea 4-0, which suggested that a change of fortunes may be on the horizon, they have quickly reverted back to last season’s dismal form.
The problems have been further compounded by injuries, as United’s lack of squad depth has been laid bare when top stars have been out of action.
As a result there is some supporter discontent but Evra has sent a defiant message to supporters to stick together during the hard times.
“People are laughing at us because we hurt them so much in the past!” the Frenchman wrote on social media.
“If you don’t support us when we struggle you can’t support us when we win! We need positive energy from all United fans.
“I know we all need to work together no matter which role you have for this club FOREVRA RED.”
Evra has been extremely vocal about the club in recent weeks and following the 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium he appeared to suggest he wants a role within the club.
“I think it’s time to get our hands dirty!” Evra said on his Instagram account.
“Manchester United board are you ready to let us help you guys…?”
