James Maddison injury update

Following Saturday’s win against Spurs, Brendan Rodgers confirmed that James Maddison picked up an ankle injury.

Maddison sustained his ankle problem in the final moments of the Tottenham game.

After receiving treatment on the sidelines, Maddison limped around the pitch in the final minutes of the game.

Maddison played the full game as Leicester had already brought on three subs.

After the match, Rodgers said the following about Maddison’s injury:

He took a heavy knock on his ankle, so we will see how he is tomorrow.

What Maddison said about his ankle injury

Speaking to BT Sport after the Tottenham game, Maddison said:

I’ll go and see it now, there’s a little bit of worry but we’ll see.

Luton Town & Newcastle United

On Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup, Leicester head to Luton Town.

Next Sunday, the Foxes welcome Newcastle to the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.

One suspects that Maddison could miss the Luton game in order to be fit for the Magpies.

Leicester 2 – Tottenham 1

Yesterday, Leicester came from behind to beat Tottenham in the Premier League.

Spurs took the lead in the first-half through striker Harry Kane.

However, Leicester levelled the contest through Ricardo Pereira with a little over 20 minutes to go.

In the 85th minute, James Maddison scored his first goal of the season to win the match for Leicester.

Leicester are third in the table with 11 points from 6 games.

Spurs have 8 points so far this season.
