Celtic team news: Predicted 4-2-3-1 line up to face Kilmarnock – Greg Taylor set for debut | Football | Sport

Neil Lennon’s Celtic are looking to add to their seven game unbeaten run when they host Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The visitors are unbeaten in four and have won three games on the bounce in a fine spell under Angelo Alessio.

Kilmarnock have not won in their 12 most recent trips to Celtic Park, though, last winning in 2012 by a scoreline of 2-0.

The Hoops are set to hand Greg Taylor his debut with Boli Bolingoli and Leigh Griffiths out injured, as Lennon confirmed on Friday.

“Hopefully he’ll only miss one or two games,” Lennon said of the summer signing Bolingoli.

“Greg is in contention. He’ll be ready to play if called upon.

“It’s a slight groin strain and he just felt it getting progressively worse.”

He said of the absent Griffiths: ”Obviously he didn’t want it further deteriorating and taking him out for a considerable period of time.”

Moritz Bauer could also make his first home start after joining on loan from Stoke City, as Lennon also considers resting Hatem Abd Elhamed.

Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien are set to continue in defence after the midweek draw at Rennes.

Olivier Ntcham could return to the starting line up to give Callum McGregor a break after Chris Sutton criticised Celtic‘s lack of attacking threat.

“If anything, the one department which didn’t sparkle as it can in France was the attacking unit,” Sutton told the Daily Record.

“But given what James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard have produced at home and in Europe this season for the club and the manager, they get a pass.

“Even then, it was Forrest who won the penalty and he has also had a terrific effort at 1-1 which almost put Celtic into the lead, so he’s always a threat and Mohamed Elyounoussi on the other side clearly needs games.”
