Real Madrid: Zidane: I don’t feel questioned, it would be better to leave if I did
Real Madrid The Frenchman discussed the game at Sevilla
Real Madrid’s performances in the first stretch of the season have sparked criticism, but Zinedine Zidane believes that no one at the club doubts his work.
The Frenchman has also made clear that he would depart Los Blancos if his work is ever called into question by those inside the club offices.
“We have always had difficulties, even when we were winning,” he said at a press conference on Saturday.
“There have always been complicated moments at this club and you can always overcome them.
“What is said outside the club doesn’t matter, as we have strength inside.
“I don’t feel questioned, it’s the other way around.
“If it weren’t like this, it’d be better to leave.
“Until the last moment, the people in house have the power.”
“The players are not performing below their level,” he stated.
“Can we do more? Yes, sure, but we have always had complicated moments and good times.
“Now we play against the leaders and what needs to be done is to win there.
“I know the difficulty of being at Real Madrid.
“We have a good game to get things done and to make things better
“This is what we are going to do.”
The French coach indicated that his players will need the intensity they lacked in their 3-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
“We will play at a difficult ground,” he noted.
“We know what team they have as they are the leaders.
“We want to have a good game and we will do it.
“The players are ready and we are ready.
“We know that [intensity] is what is required, as they are very strong and very fast in transition.
“We know that we have to be strong and dictate the tempo as much as possible because that’s how we are going to win games.”
