‘A shambles’ Arsenal fans offer their Aston Villa verdict ahead of Sunday’s clash

Aston Villa’s relentless start to the Premier League season offers no let up this weekend when they head to the capital for a meeting with Arsenal.

Villa’s last couple of trips to the Emirates Stadium have ended in particularly heavy defeats prior to the club’s relegation to the Championship, but they did land surprise blows on the Gunners in 2013, 2011 and, back when the Lions were challenging Arsenal for a top four spot, in 2008.

Fresh from their goalless draw on Monday night against West Ham, Villa will aim for a first victory on the road in north London.

Unai Emery’s side breezed past Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday evening as they opened their Europa League account – but will such a quick turnaround have a profound impact on how they start the game on Sunday?

This is what Arsenal fans are saying ahead of the game, and what they make of Aston Villa.

ARSENAL FANS

Nuggets: We need a good win but saying that I would take the 1-0 to us now. Still depending on the team he puts out looking forward to the game.

Mike Dean: Imagine if we went defensive against Villa at home lol

Sims: We’ll roll these over. Imagine if we lost lmao

Jayramfootball: Suspect it will be a close game. As long as we win I don’t mind.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal

BS221B: I hope we don’t sit back against mighty Villa like we did against mighty Watford. Expecting nothing but a comfortable victory.

Yousif Arsenal: Need to win this one before going to Old Trafford, also seeing Spurs playing Leicester away and Chelsea playing Liverpool so good opportunity for us.

Hleb’s Sirush: Please, don’t make me watch ****ing Grealish and McGinn have 20 shots each on our goal. Oh it is a home game, we tend to do a lot better at home. Someone needs to get the backlash for Watford.

Notorious Big: They can smash us. Had good record at Emirates. 3-7 for Aston Villa.

Krengon: Hopefully a comfortable win and good performance.. Just as interested in the performance as the result here.

Stroller: We win this one in another unconvincing game. They’ll be short on quality up top and we get a 2 0 win out of it.

KITN: Teams know our defense is a shambles so they’ll likely score. It’ll likely be a 1-1 or a 3-3.

Midfield Maestro: Nervy encounter which could go either way. However I think this will be the first game this season where we have more shots.

YJYUX: 1-1. We inevitably score and look convincing in the first half. Come out in the second half, can’t seem to get that crucial goal and than some t*** t**** something up and Grealish scores.
