Barcelona put three big names up for January sale

Barcelona are planning to put a trio of top stars up for sale in January, while Man Utd were after a Benfica stopper David de Gea signed a new deal – according to Friday’s European press.
BARCA TO SELL STAR TRIO IN JANUARY
Barcelona are planning to sell a number of players in the January window – with Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic, France defender Samuel Umtiti, and Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal reportedly among those who could leave.
Marca claims that the Catalan giants need to balance the books and will sell players to do just that, although any sales must take place before the current fiscal year ends on June 30.
Rakitic, Umtiti and Vidal will be moved on, along with some of the more fringe members of the senior squad.
Carles Alena and Moussa Wague are two possible candidates for an exit, with Ernesto Valverde having an overload of players – particularly in midfield.
Manchester United have been linked with Rakitic and Umtiti in the past and could be available for cut-price fees in the new year.
