Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves fans fuming with reaction to LA Galaxy pitch invaders
The former Manchester United man scored a hat-trick in the MLS side’s 7-2 win over Sporting KC on Monday.
Ibrahimovic kept his cool in the penalty box before striking from distance.
Fans at the Dignity Health Sports Park were blown away by the result which puts them closer to the play-offs.
And two fans wanted to show their appreciation to the captain by invading the pitch.
Footage has emerged, though, of Ibrahimovic’s reaction to the supporters.
In the clip, the full-time whistle has just blown.
And the Swede is shaking hands with the Kansas-based side.
But two fans start sprinting towards the 37-year-old.
While security try to restrain the pitch invaders, all Ibrahimovic does is keep walking.
He stops as one of the supporters falls to the ground.
And the forward keeps looking ahead, despite the fan’s calls and security’s efforts.
This footage was shared on Ibrahimovic’s Instagram channel today, where it has been viewed more than three million times.
The LA Galaxy star had a simple way of summing up the incident.
Accompanying the post, he simply wrote: “Walking on water.”
But fans of the Swede were furious at his reaction.
“That’s rude,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “He wanted to hug you. Don’t ignore him.”
While a third added: “Respect the fans.”
With a fourth saying: “Can’t believe he actually posted this.”
