Man Utd hero Gary Neville names the three players he would sign for Red Devils | Football | Sport

Gary Neville has had his say on who he would sign for Manchester United if he had the chance.

United have struggled at the start of the Premier League season, winning just two of their opening five games.

It comes following a transfer window where boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought in three new faces.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James all joined the club and have all been regulars in the first team.

But former full-back Neville has now named his dream signings as the Old Trafford outfit prepare for the beginning of their Europa League campaign.

In a Twitter Q&A session on Tuesday morning, Neville was asked the three players he would sign for Manchester United.

And he went for a French trio, replying: “Varane, Kante and Mbappe.”

Manchester United have regularly been linked with a move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, who reportedly told the La Liga giants he wanted to leave during the summer.

The centre-back stayed though and has helped Real to an unbeaten start to the season.

N’Golo Kante has been a revelation in the Premier League, helping Leicester and then Chelsea win the title.

The holding midfielder has been hailed as one of the best players in England and it’s no surprise Neville believes he could help United.

Kylian Mbappe is a world superstar having shone on both the domestic and international stage.

He regularly finds the net for Paris Saint-Germain and helped France win the World Cup last summer at the age of just 19.

Manchester United fans would likely be happy if just one of that trio joined the club, let alone all three.
