How Man Utd could line up next season if they sign James Maddison and Jadon Sancho
United were linked with Leicester playmaker James Maddison throughout the off-season but the Foxes were not prepared to do business.
Solskjaer is reportedly a big fan of the England U21 ace and fresh reports say they intend to return to prise him away from the King Power next year.
The report adds that that Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff also remains on Solskjaer‘s wish-list, along with Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
But Sancho, 19, was arguably Dortmund’s best performer last season, scoring 13 goals and providing 19 assists.

Maddison could replace Juan Mata, who will have just a year left to run on his contract by next summer.
And Sancho would slot straight in on United’s right wing, bringing pace and trickery that they have been sorely missing.
Maddison put in a strong display at Old Trafford in his team’s 1-0 defeat last weekend.
“He’s got a really strong belief in his ability [and] it’s not misplaced,” said Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers.
“He’s a very good player, fantastic talent but is constantly working to be better which is what you want.”
Meanwhile, Sancho has also been praised for his meteoric rise.
“Jadon Sancho has the world at his feet and there’s going to be an almighty auction for him next summer at this rate,” former Arsenal star Paul Merson said recently.
“I like his confidence. He beats players, and he knows the game. He has composure as well as pace. He doesn’t make bad choices when he gets into dangerous positions.
“I think we’ll see him back in the Premier League sooner rather than later. I doubt he’ll be available in January but next summer there will be a queue of clubs lining up.”
The former Cardiff manager is aware the club would have to break the bank to land both Sancho and Maddison, with the former valued at over £100m by Dortmund, and the Foxes slapping an £80m price tag on their star midfielder.
