Wolves’ ‘secret’ plan to beat Braga in Europa League group stage opener
Wolves flier Adama Traore reckons their ‘secret agents’ can help topple Sporting Braga on Thursday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have won all six Europa League ties so far but have made an unexpectedly slow start in the Premier League.
They took a 5-2 beating from Chelsea on Saturday and are now looking to get back on track with a win over the Portuguese side in the first match of the group stages.
Traore says Wolves’ big Portuguese contingent can help give the low down on the visitors starting with boss Nuno and his back room staff.
They can also call on the likes of keeper Rui Patricio and midfielders Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho on what makes Braga tick.
Traore said: “Chelsea was a sad day for us – a bad day at the office.
“We made too many errors against a great team. We have to focus on those errors and then move on.
“It’s tough to lose five goals at home but we have to put it behind us now and keep pushing on.”
But he’s positive the Portugal connection can only help, adding:
“Definitely. The coach comes from Portuguese football and so do many of our players.
“We know about Portuguese football and we know the Portuguese culture.
“They know the players and the league and they have played teams like Braga many times before.
“We will accept any help we can as we attempt to keep moving forward to become a better team.
“It has to help that we know so much about them and they don’t know so much about us.”
