Wolves flop Jamie O’Hara has been given this surprising job
Billericay Town have announced that former Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jamie O’Hara will take over as first team manager.
In a statement released by the National league South club, it was confirmed that Billericay chairman Glenn Tamplin had relieved Harry Wheeler of his duties over ‘a difference of opinion’.
O’Hara was in the dugout for Billericay’s latest league fixture against Oxford City, which ended in a 2-2 draw and will now take the job on a long term basis.
The statement read: “We can now confirm that Harry Wheeler has been relieved of his duties and has left the club after a recent meeting with the owner.
“Differences of opinion have led to the decision and the owner feels changes needed to be made.

“From all at the club we wish Harry all the best for the future and we thank him for all his efforts and successes in his time here.”
Billericay find themselves in 7th place currently, with the ex- Wolves midfielder still playing an active role on the pitch.
The 32-year-old is a less than popular figure amongst the old gold masses after playing his part in the club’s double relegation.
In all he played 55 times in the league for Wolves, before leaving for Blackpool in 2014. He would go onto have spells with Blackpool, Fulham and Gillingham before signing for the Essex club in 2017.
