John Hartson on one thing Man Utd ‘cannot believe’ about summer signing Daniel James | Football | Sport
Manchester United will be counting their lucky stars that they managed to sign Wales star Daniel James for just £15m, according to John Harrison.
James made his move to United months after he nearly became a Leeds player in the January transfer window.
James then scored an equaliser against Crystal Palace in a 2-1 loss two weeks later.
James went on to score a brilliant curling effort for Wales on international duty against Slovakia.
Hartson, who made 51 appearances for Wales during his football career, reckons United are still fawning over the price they got James for.
“There are some really good players in that Wales midfield,” he told the Football Fan Cast.
“With the likes of Harry Wilson, Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Tom Lawrence, David Brooks and Dan James in particular.
“He not only could have a massive impact for his country, but Manchester United too.
“United must be thinking oh my god, I can’t believe we got this boy for £15m. What’s he worth now?”
“He’s got that X factor with his pace in and around the box so he’ll always create chances,” said Solskjaer.
