Revealed: Birmingham City’s plans for Josh McEachran
Birmingham City will make a decision on whether to offer Josh McEachran a contract at the end of next week.
He is out of contract after being released by Brentford and had been linked with Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.
However, he remains a free agent and Pep Clotet is running the rule over the 26-year-old.

“He has been having few training sessions with us. The club thought it could be good to have a look at him. It gives the club enough time so we can have a proper assessment.
“We asked him to play on Monday to have a better assessment and give him the right opportunity to get fitter.
“At the end of next week I will give the club my opinion and they can take a decision.
“From what I have seen until now he is a player that is comfortable on the ball and a player who links up well from the back to the front. Probably he is a player that needs to be playing with someone else in the middle.
“He has said he wants a chance, he backs himself and was happy to come here and have a trial.
It’s about doing the work on the pitch, showing what you can do and then the club will take a decision.”
