Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher involved in spat during Vincent Kompany testimonial
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher both looked bemused as they conceded inside two minutes during Vincent Kompany’s testimonial.
The Manchester United and Liverpool legends are lining up alongside each other on the Premier League All Stars team.
And the pair found themselves in deep water early on as Martin Petrov fired the Manchester City Legends team in front.
Ashley Cole played a brilliant through ball between Neville and Carragher to set Petrov up.
Both players were caught out of position and then attempted to blame one another after Petrov had scored.
Neville was caught on camera asking Carragher for his verdict on the incident but the Liverpool man’s response wasn’t shown.
And fans watching from home took to social media to lap up the disagreement between the Sky Sports punditry duo.
“Oh deary me Gary Neville,” said one fan.
“Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher having a disagreement over whose fault it was,” said another.
“Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher having a spat at a testimonial game. Brilliant,” a third added.
One fan said: “Neville and Carragher arguing in first 2 minutes hahahahahahaha love it.”
Another joked: “Jamie Carragher & Gary Neville in the same line-up is comedy gold.”
“Carragher and Neville will spend the whole game arguing,” said another.
