Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sweating on five injury doubts for Leicester | Football | Sport
United take on Brendan Rodgers’ side three points behind them after a difficult start to the Premier League season.
In what is certain to be a difficult clash, the Red Devils could be hit with massive blow in terms of unavailable players.
The club announced on their official website that Solskjaer will address the media on Friday and give update on the fitness of Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
The statement read: “Ole will address the media in his weekly press conference and should provide an update on the fitness of a number of United players.
“Pogba, Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were all forced to miss their national side’s games over the break, and Ole will, no doubt, be quizzed on the chances of them featuring against Leicester.
“The press conference will be broadcast that morning by MUTV, so make sure to tune in for the latest updates from the boss.”
Despite dropping points for a third consecutive fixture, Solskjaer was keen to remain positive by insisting that United are on the right track.
“Well I thought we started well of course,” he said.
“We got the first goal and the game is there for us to be won.
“But we’re not ruthless or clinical enough and we kept giving the ball away in dangerous areas, which then created an atmosphere here.
“It gave them encouragement and we couldn’t find the second one which would have finished the game.”
“Well you want to have a foundation to build on.
“The thing is; if we keep getting battered and chances and chances and chances, then there is loads of work to be done.
“But we are on the right track; we are not conceding many chances. Palace had two last week, scored two.”
