Confirmed: Birmingham City sanction loan move

Charlie Lakin has become the latest Birmingham City player to go out on loan.

The 20-year-old has joined League Two Stevenage on loan until the end of the season.

Lakin has made just one senior appearance for Blues so far this season – in the Carabao Cup defeat to Portsmouth.

That comes after last term when he made ten appearances and earned a new contract which keeps him at Blues until at least 2021.

Stevenage, who are managed by Dino Maamria, have lost three of their opening four fixtures and drawn one.

They are next in action on Saturday when they play host to Macclesfield at their Broadhall Way Stadium.
