Confirmed: Aston Villa sanction starlet’s loan move

Aston Villa starlet Callum O’Hare has joined Coventry City on loan.

The 21-year-old will link up with the League One outfit for the rest of the season.

It is the second loan move for O’Hare, who also spent the second half of last season at Carlisle United.

O’Hare, who was born in Solihull, made his debut for Villa in August 2017 and would make eight appearances for them in the 2017/18 campaign.

Sky Blues boss Mark Robins welcomed the move.

“We’re pleased to welcome Callum to the football club,” Robins told the official website.

“He is a naturally talented footballer, with great creative ability and an eye for goal too.

“He is at the stage of his development where it is important for him to get regular minutes in league football, and we look forward to working with him this season.”

O’Hare joins Matija Sarkic, James Bree, Andre Green, Jake Doyle-Hayes, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and senior striker Scott Hogan out on loan.
