‘Baller’ Birmingham City fans react to transfer development
Charlie Lakin has become the latest Birmingham City player to go out on loan.
The 20-year-old midfielder has joined League Two Stevenage on loan until the end of the season.
Lakin has made just one senior appearance for Blues so far this season – in the Carabao Cup defeat to Portsmouth.
That comes after last term when he made ten appearances and earned a new contract which keeps him at Blues until at least 2021.
Here’s what fans had to say about the move:
@BCFCFanecdotes: Quality signing this is for @StevenageFC. Good luck @CharliieLakin.
@BCFCReport_: Great move for Charlie. Will do well in that league. Lacks a bit of physicality but the only way to learn is in competitive games!
@Themuggroup: @StevenageFC You’ve got a great player on your hands in @CharliieLakin – he needs to play week in and week out but could become the heart of your midfield this season.
@cdbcfc_: Good luck @CharliieLakin – proper baller.
@Bcfckian: Stevenage about to do bits with another one of our players? Imagine my shock.
@Mannisxngh: Happy with this 100%. @BCFC are starting to tick most of the boxes. Up the Blues.
@BluesTom__: Good move for him get some more experience.
