Wolves team news vs Manchester United: The starting XI Nuno has named for Molineux clash

Nuno Espirito Santo has reverted to his strongest Wolverhampton Wanderers XI for tonight’s meeting with Manchester United.

Wolves take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United at Molineux looking to repeat last season’s double triumph. Wolves defeated the Red Devils twice in the space of two weeks at Molineux, once in the FA Cup and once in the Premier League.

Nuno made nine changes for Thursday’s Europa League second leg with FC Pyunik with just captain Conor Coady and Joao Moutinho keeping their places from the weekend draw with Leicester City.

Here’s a selection of articles from our Wolves writer Alex Dicken:

But the Portuguese recalls all of his star names for tonight’s match with Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota returning in attack. The front two tormented United during that double-header in spring and Nuno will be hoping they can again work their magic.

Pedro Neto again gets the nod ahead of Jesus Vallejo on the bench, meaning it’s exactly the same squad which took on Leicester on the opening day.

Wolves (3-5-2): Patricio; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny; Jimenez, Jota

Subs: Ruddy, Vinagre, Saiss, Gibbs-White, Traore, Neto, Cutrone
