Solskjaer reacts to Daniel James dive in Manchester United draw against Wolves
It was a tricky test for James on his first start for the club, but his performance was the subject of controversy when he was booked for simulation midway through the first-half.
Wolves fans responded by booing the Wales international throughout the rest of the match, but Solskjaer does not believe the treatment was fair.
While the United manager admits that replays might have shown a different angle, he did not have any issue with the 21-year-old’s display.
“I don’t think it’s a booking,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“I’ve not seen the video. But he’s so quick, you’ve got to tell me if there’s contact or not.
“He gets kicked so many times and I think he gets loads of yellow cards from the defenders playing against him.
“He gets fouled, and it doesn’t look like a foul. I’m not sure, you’ve got to show it me so I can give a better decisoon. I don’t think it’s a yellow card anyway from live vieiwng.”
