Man Utd squad revealed to face Wolves with four stars missing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer | Football | Sport
Daniel James came off the bench and got his name on the scoresheet leaving Solskjaer with a dilemma as to whether to start with the Wales international.
The Manchester United manager will definitely be without four stars for the trip to Molineux.
Eric Bailly and Tim Fosu-Mensah are long-term injury absentees while Alexis Sanchez and Fred are still working their way back to fitness.
“Alexis is such a professional and he comes in working every single day, really hard, and he wants to be a part of this,” the United boss said.
“It’s these stories again that he’s been put in the reserves and all this – of course he hasn’t.
“He’s part of our squad and he’s a very, very good player.
“He’s had three weeks now, so he’s a few weeks behind the rest but he’s very close to being part of it.”
United could start with an unchanged side after the dominant victory over Chelsea.
That would mean Andreas Pereira retaining his place in midfield with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial leading the line.
The back four is expected to be the same with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw lining up in defence.
Wolves: Patricio, Ruddy, Doherty, Jonny, Bennett, Boly, Coady, Vallejo, Vinagre, Kilman, Jordao, Traore, Neves, Gibbs-White, Saiss, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Jimenez, Cutrone, Jota, Neto.
Manchester United: De Gea, Romero, Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Young, Jones, Maguire, Lindelof, Rojo, Smalling, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Darmian, Chong, Garner, Gomes, James, Fred, Lingard, Matic, Mata, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Greenwood, Sanchez, Martial, Rashford.
