John Lundstram reveals one key thing Sheffield United need to stay in Premier League
John Lundstram has urged Sheffield United to turn Bramall Lane into a fortress this season.
Lundstram admitted he was living the dream after plundering a second half winner to help the Blades sink Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The midfielder’s strike made it the perfect top-flight homecoming for Chris Wilder’s men following 12 years out of the Premier League.
The Blades have now taken four points from a possible six following an impressive start to life back in the big time.
Lundstram admits his side’s form on home soil this season will go a long way to deciding the Yorkshire’s club’s fate.
But he reckons taking the fight to their more glamorous opponents and making Bramall Lane a fearsome place to go will see the Blades pick up more than their fare share of points.
He said: “This, hopefully, is the starting point of a big season at home for us.
“Our home form is going to be huge for us this year. Yes, there are going to be times when it’s tough but what we do here, at our place, is going to be vital moving forward.
“We’ve got a style of playing. We’re aggressive and we’re on the front foot. If the crowd is going to be like that every single week then it’s going to be difficult for people coming here.
“They (Palace) came with a game plan, but I thought we got ourselves on top and it was important that we did that.
“That’s something we’ve got to make sure we do all the way through.”
