Cristiano Ronaldo taunted over ‘looking in the mirror’ by former Man Utd star
The pair briefly played together during the Uruguayan’s last season with the club, before he left to join Villarreal in 2004.
But Forlan did not mince his words regarding Ronaldo, also hinting he was a downgrade from David Beckham.
Both stars wore United’s famous No.7 shirt, following on from the likes of George Best and Eric Cantona.
And Forlan intimated that Ronaldo was more interested in perfecting his appearance than his skills on the pitch.
Speaking to Fox Sports, Forlan said: “Ronaldo was an egotist in the dressing room – not like (David) Beckham.
“Cristiano always wanted to be near a mirror.
“He spent all day looking in the mirror.
“Ronaldo was changing in front of the mirror, tremendous.
“Beckham was more natural, they are different. Cristiano is all more worked.
“Beckham was disheveled and fit, the other you never saw disheveled.”
Ronaldo is gearing up for his second season with Serie A champions Juventus.
And ahead of the new campaign, the former Real Madrid man has been mocked for an embarrassing advert appearance.
The 34-year-old is seen dancing to ‘baby shark’ in a cringe-worthy clip to promote Singapore-based eCommerce app Shopee.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has been joined on the three-man shortlist for the UEFA Player of the Year prize by Virgil van Dijk and Lionel Messi.
