Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane ‘ready to quit’ because of Man Utd star Paul Pogba
Madrid have spent big this summer, bringing in Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy for a combined £270m.
But Zidane isn’t convinced with the club’s business after promising Pogba a move to the Bernabeu.
The Independent report the Madrid boss in on the brink of leaving after clashing with president Florentino Perez.
Zidane only returned to the Spanish capital in March after the club dismissed both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari earlier in the season.
But the three-time Champions League-winning manager was desperate to strengthen his midfielder with Pogba’s acquisition this summer but it looks as though the Frenchman will be staying at United.
Earlier in the summer, the club were said to have placed a £180m price tag on the World Cup winner.
However, United have had assurances from Pogba that he will remain committed for another season at least, according to ESPN.
Madrid could still launch a bid for the 26-year-old in the next three weeks.
But Los Blancos would need to offload some more big names to free up funds for Pogba.
Speaking after United’s 4-0 win at the weekend, the United star was pressed on a potential move.
“Obviously there have been things said but only time will tell,” he said.
“However, as I said, I am here in Manchester.
“I enjoy playing with my team-mates and I always want to win every game.
“I always give it everything.”
