PSG ordered to sell ‘disrespectful’ Neymar after Barcelona transfer meeting | Football | Sport

That’s according to PSG icon David Ginola.

Neymar is expected to leave the French champions this summer in favour of a return to Barcelona.

The Brazilian superstar is unhappy in France, and wants to move back to the Catalan side.

Two years after he became the most expensive player of all time – signing for £198million – he has grown tired of life in Paris.

He is apparently unhappy with the quality of football in Ligue 1, after PSG won the French title two years running.

Last year, although Neymar played just 17 games, PSG won the title by 16 points.

Both of his seasons in France have been plagued with injuries, and he has played only 37 times in Ligue 1.

Neymar has remained quiet on his future, but apparently told PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he regretted leaving Barcelona.

He did, however, hit the headlines for claiming his best memory in football was when he helped Barcelona turn over a 4-0 lead to knock out his current side 6-5 on aggregate in the Champions League.

And Ginola told France Info that he believes the comments were disrespectful to the club and its fans.

“It’s a huge disappointment to see those insults from fans because there’s a thin line between love and hate,” he said.

“They are becoming more and more impatient because they were promised great things.

“The insults, the whistles, they were too much, it’s inexcusable.

“At the end of the day, Neymar is to blame.

“He’s a symbolic player here. When the supporters hear Neymar say: ‘My best memory as a footballer is when Barça came back against PSG’ it was cruel and hurt every (PSG) supporter.

“If a player doesn’t respect the club or its values, they should leave.”
