Ole Gunnar Solskjaer involves Manchester United outcasts in training ahead of Wolves clash
But all attentions at United’s Carrington training ground have now turned to Wolverhampton Wanderers and their trip to Molineux on Monday night.
Solskjaer has warned his players they will need to be at their best if they are to avoid a similar fate when they come up against Nuno Espirito Santo’s charges again.
Two members of his squad that could be surprise entrants in their travelling squad would be Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian. The pair have been extensively linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with both expected to be the subject of interest from European clubs.
As well as Rojo and Darmian; youngsters Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong have been regular parts of the training party, with both expected to be involved in the senior squad sooner rather than later.
Wolves’ squad meanwhile will once again have to navigate a quick turnaround, with them hosting Pyunik Yerevan in the second leg of their Europa League qualifying round on Thursday – before flying out for a potential play-off round tie only three days after they face United.
Nuno’s men take a 4-0 lead into their second leg with the Armenians – a situation that should allow the Portuguese head coach to utilise his squad ahead of another busy week.
