Man Utd boss Solskjaer threatens Sanchez unless he makes transfer away
United have had a turbulent summer after a multitude of players were linked with a move to the club.
In the end, Solskjaer was given three new players to bolster his squad – but in important positions.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire were brought in for a total fee of around £130m to improve a weak defence.
And Daniel James joined from Swansea in somewhat of a shock move but has already looked more than at home.
The Welshman scored on his debut after coming on as a sub against Chelsea and his inclusion looks to have ousted one member of the squad.
Sanchez has looked out of place since Solskjaer joined late last year and his United career has been plagued by injuries.
But he is still costing the club around £415,000-a-week in wages and the Red Devils are looking for avenues for him to leave.
However, no club has been willing to foot the bill for the Chilean – with his wages proving too big a stumbling block.
The Norwegian is keen on utilising young, hungry talents and is not interested in ‘Galactico’ signings.
And Sanchez is seen as part of the old guard that Solskjaer is trying to remove.
The 30-year-old’s United career has been miserable since his arrival in January 2018 from Arsenal.
In a total of 45 matches for the Red Devils, he has netted just five times – two coming last season.
As well as James, Solskjaer is looking to incorporate a number of youth players.
They include Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong.
