Man City boss Guardiola gives clearest indication Sane to Bayern transfer could be on
City are not looking to sell any of their top stars but one might be on his way out of the door.
Sane has been strongly linked with a move back to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich circling.
The German giants are desperate to bolster their options on the wing after both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery departed.
Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi has also been earmarked but the youngster is set to pen a new contract at the Blues.
And to make up for that disappointment, Allianz Arena chiefs will go all out to secure the services of Sane.
And the former Barcelona coach has revealed that a transfer is now out of his hands as Bayern close in.
Guardiola said: “We want him to stay. So it’s not in our hands – he has to decide.
“If he wants and there is an agreement then it’s good but if he wants to leave he can do it but we will be sad. Hopefully he stays.
“Leroy is a guy who I appreciate a lot – I like him a lot.
“I think he has an incredible gap to be better in terms of being connected in the game.”
It comes after Bayern boss Niko Kovac outlined his specific ‘dream’ to sign Sane this summer.
He told Sport Bild: “We all know that Leroy Sane is our dream player. The public knows that, we know that.
“You can see that the transfer is not easy. But I know that our people are working very hard to make it happen.
“We will do everything to realise this transfer.”
