Report: West Brom in talks to re-sign loan ace
West Bromwich Albion have been in contact with Everton to discuss the possibility of Mason Holgate returning to the club on loan.
Holgate had a highly impressive spell at the club last season after signing at the turn of the year.
The 22-year-old became a regular under both Darren Moore and Jimmy Shan as their season ended in heartbreaking fashion with defeat to Aston Villa in the play-offs.
He has now returned to pre-season training with his parent club, but Slaven Bilic remains hopeful that he could have the Everton youngster back at The Hawthorns.
It is claimed that the Toffees have yet to come to a decision on Holgate’s future and they could yet keep him around as cover on Merseyside.
Bilic’s transfer plans have stepped up a gear in recent days with two arrivals already confirmed and another three believed to be on the agenda.
Semi Ajayi and Kenneth Zohore joined Filip Krovinovic on the list of new arrivals, whilst Romaine Sawyers and QPR wing back Furlong are both believed to be close.
