Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sends fans into frenzy with Twitter admission
The Reds suffered a second defeat in their pre-season campaign yesterday.
Klopp guided the club to their sixth European title last season.
Six weeks on from the win, the manager and his assistant first-team coach Pepijn “Pep” Linders looked back on the campaign.
And footage has emerged of the manager making his revelation.
In the clip, Klopp and his assistant first-team coach Pepijn Linders are shown clips of fans celebrating the European win.
Scenes from the USA to Hong Kong are shown as the pair are left stunned.
“I love it, I love it,” Klopp mouths to himself.
“We have to find Klopp’s account immediately”
But the 52-year-old revealed he had used a social media channel to see the clips before.
The Liverpool boss added: “We don’t see these things.
“People told me about this.
“So I had to open up a Twitter account to watch them.
“It’s unbelievable – this club is so big.”
This footage was shared on the club’s official YouTube channel yesterday, where it has been viewed nearly 500,000 times.
It was soon re-published on Reddit, where the Anfield faithful all said the same thing.
“We have to find Klopp’s account immediately,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “Bonus points for whoever can find Klopp’s new Twitter account.”
While a third simply said: “Yes!”
And a fourth added: “Who knows Klopp’s Twitter handle?”
