This is how much Newcastle United want for Dwight Gayle this summer

Newcastle United are reportedly demanding as much as £15m for striker Dwight Gayle this summer.

The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal on Tyneside, but it remains to be seen whether new boss Steve Bruce has plans to utilise him in the Premier League.

Having missed out on Salomon Rondon and sold Joselu and Ayoze Perez, the Toon are preparing to land £38m Joelinton from Hoffenheim – but where does that leave Gayle?

The Sun claim that he is expected to leave Tyneside once and for all this summer, after a successful loan spell with West Brom last season.”/>

Despite technical director Luke Dowling indicating that Albion wouldn’t be in a position financially to bring the forward back to The Hawthorns on a permanent basis, Albion remain third favourites in the bookies’ eyes, at least.

The Baggies have raised funds by selling Rondon and Jay Rodriguez, and despite bringing in Kenneth Zohore, Slaven Bilic is eager to add another forward to his ranks ahead of the new campaign.

Stoke City, who are planning on moving Saido Berahino on this summer, are the favourites to land Gayle while relegated Fulham are in second, having been tipped to reunite Gayle with former Magpies teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
