Player agrees personal terms ahead of Aston Villa transfer- reports
Trezeguet has agreed personal terms and is now set to be announced as Aston Villa’s ninth signing of the summer, according to reports.
Villa agreed a fee with Kasimpasa over the weekend which will see the winger join Dean Smith’s side for around £8.75m.
It had been reported that the Turkish top flight side were looking for €15m for the Egyptian international, but Villa have seemingly got their man at a cheaper price.
The deal is believed to include significant add-ons with the 24-year-old flying in for a medical over the weekend.
Now KingFut have reported that Trezeguet, real name Mahmoud Hassan, has agreed personal terms with Villa ahead of his Premier League switch.
He will become the third winger signed by Smith in this window, following the arrivals of Anwar El Ghazi and Jota.
With spends already over £100m, Trezeguet’s purchase shows that bosses on B6 show few signs of letting up in their relentless pursuit of building a squad ready for the Premier League.
Smith will hope to have his newest signing confirmed for the annual trip to Walsall’s Banks’ Stadium on Wednesday, or at the very least, the visit to Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
The Villa boss is a long term admirer of Trezeguet, after flying out to Egypt to watch the forward in his country’s disappointing African Cup of Nations campaign earlier this summer.
Fellow winger El Ghazi missed Villa’s pre-season win over Shrewsbury Town after hobbling off in the warm-up before the second period.
