PSG’s wantaway star Neymar ‘offers himself to Manchester United and others’
However, the Catalans have already splashed out near £200m this summer on the signings of Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann, so it’s unclear how they’d be able to afford Neymar‘s astronomical fee.
One way around it would be to offer players in part exchange, which is what Barcelona have reportedly done by offering Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and cash for Neymar – but it is thought to have been rejected as PSG.
It’s claimed the Parisiens just want cash in an attempt to recuperate the £200million they paid to Barcelona just two years ago.
However, it’s also reported that United’s ‘failure to qualify for the Champions League could prove fatal to their hopes.’
Elsewhere, United have reportedly submitted an opening £50m bid for Bruno Fernandes.
The Daily Mirror claim that United are ready to offer the 24-year-old a £5.5m a year salary over a four-year contract – which works out at roughly £100,000-a-week.
MEN Sport understands Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff are United’s main targets as they look to complete business before the start of the season.
