Liverpool give Sadio Mane to Real Madrid transfer update as mega switch is backed
Mane was brilliant for Liverpool during their Champions League-winning season with the Reds last term.
But his form has come at a price and not without transfer speculation linking him with Real Madrid.
Real are thought to be interested in signing Mane, with boss Zinedine Zidane an admirer of the Senegalese international.
But back in November, Mane signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool, before scoring 26 goals in all competitions.
But Seck, who heads up the Senegal FA, believes Mane should consider the “offer” to join Real.
“Everybody in the world knows that Mane is in the top 10 best footballers in the world and he has achieved significant success at Liverpool in the past season,” Seck told the Mirror.
“He alongside Mo Salah and Firmino are phenomenal.
“But this is football and he won the Champions League last season and he has the chance to go to Madrid.
“For me I think it’s the best club in the world, even if I am a Barcelona fan I still think Real is the best and Mane should be thinking of that offer seriously.
“The career of a footballer is very short and sometimes you don’t get the chance a lot so if it’s there, and I think Zidane likes him, why not?
“He played in Southampton and when the chance came he took it and went to Liverpool and he has held the challenge well in England.
I think he will do well with another challenge in another country.”
Seck’s claim that an offer is there could mean that an illegal approach for Mane has been made by Real Madrid.
Mane is currently on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Senegal come up against Tunisia in the semi-finals of the competition and could face Algeria or Tunisia in a potential final.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to give Mane at least three weeks holiday once the tournament is over.
